Where To Stay in Tulum

Choosing a hotel in Tulum was no easy task since there are so many great choices. Unlike Cancun which is known for its massive all inclusive resorts owned by big name hotel groups, Tulum is made up of a seemingly endless strip of beachfront, boutique hotels (my favorite kind) with a much simpler, laid back vibe.

The hotels range in concepts from honeymoon resorts like Be Tulum or Encantada, eco-inspired bohemian hotels like La Nomade and Azulik, family friendly resorts like La Zebra or Alaya Tulum, and trendy, affordable options like Coco Tulum or Papaya Playa Project.

Needless to say, I was overwhelmed. Luckily, a new property had recently been added to the scene which ticked all of my boxes including proximity to great restaurants and a perfect white sandy beach to relax on.

The Beach Tulum was recently added as an adults only, sister property to the popular Cabanas Tulum next door, making it perfect for couples. I booked the Rooftop Jacuzzi room, which as the name suggests, is a second floor room with stairs leading to a private jacuzzi and sundeck on the roof. You could also stay in the Junior Suite which has its own beachfront plunge pool. 

We loved our stay at The Beach Tulum and would happily go back. The complimentary bikes were great for getting around town and we went to the hotel's Ziggy's Restaurant and Beach Club for almost every meal because it was so good.
